General Medical Services

Antenatal Clinic

Our community midwives care for mothers before and after delivery. Antenatal Clinics are held in surgery on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings. Please note that if you are sure you are pregnant and have a positive test, you can just book straight in to see the midwife. You do not need to see a doctor first.

Baby Clinic

If you have babies or young children, you will be invited to bring them to our Baby Clinic on a regular basis, to monitor their growth and development and to have their routine vaccinations. Vaccinations by appointment only. This clinic takes place every Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 to 14:30.

Counselling & Stress Management

Our counsellor will see patients at the surgery following referral by a doctor.

Diabetic Clinic

Nurse Jan Taylor is our diabetic nurse specialist. Please make an appointment for regular monitoring. She is able to offer advice on any aspect of diabetes. A chiropody service is also available for diabetic patients.

Health Visitors

Our Health Visitors are available to give advice on any aspect of childcare, including feeding problems, nutrition, child development, behaviour problems and minor illnesses. You can come along to Baby Clinic or contact them by phoning the surgery.

Hypertension & Coronary Heart Disease Clinics

Nurse Ryan runs a clinic for monitoring patients who are on treatment for high blood pressure. She also runs a clinic, for regular monitoring of all patients with a history of angina, heart attacks or heart failure.

INR Clinic

Nurse Sue Ryan runs an INR clinic for the monitoring of patients on warfarin on Monday morning and visits housebound patients Monday afternoons. Rheumatology blood monitoring is available please contact Nurse Ryan.

Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapist sees patients at Manor Clinic. To gain access to this service you will need to be referred by one of the doctors. A domiciliary physio service is available for housebound patients.

Wart Clinic

Dr Mothersdale runs this clinic about once a month according to demand. Please ask at reception for details of the next clinic.
