We are now switching to electronic prescriptions. This means that we send your prescription electronically, to the pharmacy of your choice, as soon as the GP digitally signs it and this also means that prescriptions cannot be lost or misplaced. Due to the need to send Prescriptions electronically, if you have not yet informed us of your chosen pharmacy we will send prescriptions to the pharmacy which is closest geographically to the home address on your record, should you wish to change this then please ask on your next visit. Alternatively please email SHECCG.ManorParkMC@nhs.net stating your name, date of Birth, Address and the Pharmacy you wish to nominate, including address/postcode if possible.
If you are anywhere in UK, for whatever reason, we can arrange for the prescription to be sent electronically to the pharmacy closer to you meaning that you do not have to wait for the postal service to deliver your paper prescription to them.
If you wish to have your prescription posted to you, please supply a stamped addressed envelope. Only medication that is on your regular repeat prescription will be available in this way. If you request medication that is not on your usual repeat prescription you will be asked to see a clinician. You may be asked to come in to see the clinician at least once a year for review of your repeat prescription. The review date on your prescription slip will tell you when this is due.
Please note: If you are a new patient on regular medication, you will need to come and see a doctor to set up your repeat prescription in good time, BEFORE your medication runs out.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, in house pharmacist, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
